To get rid of belly fat is the hardest part of any weight loss program. These tips may help you overcome the last hurdle in your efforts to get rid of those stubborn pounds and show off your new flat tummy

It’s difficult to target any part of your body, especially the stomach, when participating in any weight loss program. But combining some dietary changes and regular cardiac exercises, as you lose weight overall, can really make a difference

There’s no substitute to a healthy diet and regular exercise when it come to losing weight, but the best way to lose belly fat is simply to make some small changes to your diet and life style that can have a dramatic effect on your overall success

Make sure that you are not over eating or storing calories’ as fat. Check your daily calorie requirements (This will depend on age, current weight and how active you are.

An easy rule to work on is simply take your current body weight in pounds, and multiply it by 12. For example; if your weight is 140 Lbs, your daily allowance of calories will be 1,680

Avoid bloating by cutting down on wheat and dairy products. If you haven’t done so already, cut out sugars, biscuits and all trans fats found in processed food

To target the fat around your tummy, try some simple exercises at home.

Stand with feet together and simple suck in your tummy muscles as if you’re trying to touch your spine. Hold that position for the count of ten (or longer if you can) Repeat this exercise ten times.

Not only will you feel the effect on you stomach, but also on those other stubborn fatty bits we call ‘love handles’

Running on the spot is another great body toner, with quite a few venations you can use to target your tummy muscles.

Perform short bursts of fast running on the spot for one minute. Then slower to recover, but lifting your knees higher. Repeat this sequence for 30 min; you will feel it working your stomach muscles.

Here’s a couple of belly floor exercises that will dramatically tone your stomach. The first is great for the lower tummy and sides

Sit on the floor with legs extended. Place your hands behind your hips on the floor for support and lean back. Keeping the legs extended, lift both legs off
off the floor and hold for the count of five. Repeat 10 times.

I’m sure everyone knows this one?. Sit on the floor. Legs stretched out in front. Lay back. However, instead of the tradition sit up exercise where you would place hands behind the head, raising your upper torso to try to touch your knees with the forehead. Here, you simply lift you upper torso about two feet of the ground and down again. Quickly repeat 10 times, or until you feel the burn

Do these exercises every other day and you will get rid of that belly fat and develop a washboard stomach in no time
