A change of diet can be quite complex, and sometimes quite difficult to adapt to for some. However, exercise is pretty simple and available to everyone.
If you have been sitting behind a desk all day, this is a very low level of activity, all the while feeding your body with snacks and other foods that are rich in trans fats, protein and carbohydrates. Cutting down on red meats and instead substituting with white meats and lots of greens is a good strategy to begin with.
The next step to take is to become more physically active. This need not be hard or expensive, since one can jog or take a brisk walk around their neighbourhood with very little effort.
However, according to whether or not you are recovering from an illness or just want to shed those extra pounds, your Doctor may convince you to do some low to moderate intensity aerobic training. This is commonly referred to as cardiovascular exercises.
